Specialized equipment for newborn and pediatric patient care, designed with the unique needs of our youngest patients in mind.
RHCS supplies the full range of equipment needed to run a newborn unit, nursery or paediatric ward: infant incubators and transport incubators, open-care radiant warmers, LED and conventional phototherapy units, infant resuscitaires, CPAP and bubble CPAP systems, neonatal ventilators, infant warmers and cots, paediatric patient monitors with neonatal cuffs and probes, syringe and infusion pumps calibrated for small volumes, neonatal weighing scales, suction units and jaundice meters. We also stock the neonatal consumables that units run short of — nasal prongs, circuits, sensors, cuffs and probes.
Our neonatal equipment comes from manufacturers with proven service records in the region, including Mindray, GE Healthcare, Philips, ChenWei, Biobase and Advin Healthcare. Where a facility has an existing fleet, we supply matching units so that staff training, consumables and spare parts stay consistent instead of fragmenting across brands.
Newborn equipment is unforgiving of poor installation and drift in calibration, so every unit we deliver is installed, commissioned and performance-tested on site. We verify incubator temperature and humidity stability, phototherapy irradiance and warmer skin-probe accuracy before signing over. Training is delivered on the ward for nurses, paediatricians and biomedical staff, covering safe operation, infection-control cleaning, alarm response and first-line troubleshooting. We then maintain the equipment under a preventive maintenance contract with scheduled calibration, genuine spares and rapid repair — our engineers have restored radiant baby warmers back into service at Kenyatta National Hospital.
We can also refurbish and recommission existing incubators and warmers that have been withdrawn from use, which is often the fastest way for a county facility to increase cot capacity.
