Sterilization Systems

RHCS designs, supplies, installs and services central sterile services departments (CSSD) and standalone sterilization equipment for hospitals in Kenya and East Africa. We supply steam sterilizers and autoclaves from tabletop class B units up to large double-door pass-through chambers, low-temperature plasma and ETO sterilizers for heat-sensitive instruments, washer disinfectors and ultrasonic cleaners, drying cabinets, sealing machines, sterile packaging, indicators and biological monitoring, instrument trolleys, sterile storage racking and complete CSSD workflow layouts that separate dirty, clean and sterile zones.

Our sterilization portfolio is built around manufacturers with strong global service records, including Getinge, ASCO, Biobase and Advin Healthcare. We size chambers and cycle capacity around your theatre throughput and turnaround times rather than selling a standard package, and we can integrate new equipment with an existing CSSD so investment is phased.

Sterilizers depend on utilities, so installation begins with a survey of steam, water treatment, drainage, ventilation and three-phase power. Our engineers install, commission and validate every unit, running thermometric and biological cycle tests and issuing validation documentation for infection-prevention audits. We train CSSD staff on loading, cycle selection, packaging, record keeping and daily testing, and theatre teams on safe handling of sterile packs. Preventive maintenance contracts cover door seals, gaskets, steam traps, safety valves, pressure vessel checks and periodic revalidation, backed by genuine spare parts.

We also restore stalled equipment: our team has successfully returned a Getinge sterilizer to full service at Kenyatta National Hospital and commissioned a decontamination booth on the same site.
